About us
We're jemo.
Nice to meet you.
A small, remote software studio in Canada. We build custom software, web applications, and SaaS products for people who care about getting it right.
Our story
Why we started.
We started jemo because we genuinely love building things. There's something deeply rewarding about taking someone's idea - sometimes clear, sometimes still forming - and turning it into software that works exactly the way they imagined.
We use a lot of software, every day, across every part of our work. That gives us a strong sense of what separates good software from bad. We bring that perspective into everything we build.
We keep the team small so everyone stays close to the work. Everyone here talks to clients, writes code, and sees the project through from start to finish. That closeness matters to us. It's how we make sure nothing gets lost along the way.
We also build our own product, tekko.dev. It keeps us grounded - we experience every decision as both the builder and the user. That perspective shapes how we think about everything we build, for ourselves and for our clients.

The person behind jemo
Jean-Michel
Founder & Developer
I've been building software for years, but what I enjoy most is taking someone's messy, ambitious idea and turning it into something real. I started jemo because I wanted to work directly with the people I build for, with nobody in between. When I'm not coding, I'm probably adjusting a UI that was technically done three days ago, or learning something completely unrelated. It's a habit I can't seem to break.
How we think.
Craft over speed
We'd rather take an extra day to get something right than ship something we'll regret next month. Good code saves time down the road.
Radical transparency
You'll always know where the project stands, what it costs, and what's left. If there's a problem, you'll hear about it from us before you notice it yourself.
Small by choice
We stay small so everyone has real ownership over the work. You'll talk to the same people from kickoff to launch.
Skin in the game
We build and maintain our own SaaS product. If we cut corners, we're the first to feel it.
